Man arrested on sexual misconduct

A 38-year-old man from Hamilton Lake in Steuben County was arrested Thursday evening by the Indiana State Police and faces multiple felony charges that allege he was having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl. Chad J. Clark is charged with four counts of Class B felony sexual misconduct with a minor, according to a news release. A complaint was filed with the State Police around Oct. 15 that claimed Clark and the girl were engaged in sexual activity since February. Clark was taken into custody without incident and was being held without bond.

Winter driving tips

Winter Weather Preparedness Week doesn't start until Sunday but with Monday night's snowfall, INDOT is reminding drivers to stay safe. Drivers are asked to reduce their speed according to road conditions and increase the distance between themselves and other vehicles, especially Indiana Department of Transportation's yellow plow trucks.

INDOT's Indianapolis subdistrict scheduled 34 drivers at 9 p.m. Monday to patrol roads and apply anti-icing agents as needed through this morning's commute hours.

Study: Purdue among top schools for int'l students

WEST LAFAYETTE – A new report shows Purdue University has maintained its standing as a top destination for international students among U.S. universities.

The Institute of International Education, a nonprofit group working with the State Department, reports Purdue had 9,500 international students during the 2012-13 academic year. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ranked first among U.S. public institutions with 9,800 international students. Purdue had the largest number of undergraduate international students at nearly 5,000 in 2012-13. Indiana University ranked 13th among universities overall with more than 6,500 international students.
