I'd like to rave about some extraordinary people who recently helped me explore the topography and history of northeast Indiana. The first are Jim Taylor and his wife, who introduced me to the Historic Forks of the Wabash in Huntington. Secondly, Ron Zartman helped me look for the sources of the Little (Wabash) River in the Fox Island-Eagle Marsh area of Fort Wayne. These are knowledgeable and friendly people who are committed to conservation, preservation and sharing what they have learned about our land and past. Thanks, folks.
After having a long day at work on Nov. 13, I decided to go through the drive-thru at the Chick-fil-A at Jefferson Pointe. When I proceeded to pay at the register, she told me the driver ahead had already paid for my meal. Thanks to this kind stranger, my spirits were lifted!
