Mad Ants fall in overtime at Sioux Falls

Fort Wayne will play next on Thursday at Memorial Coliseum

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Despite 30 points from Trey McKinney-Jones, the Mad Ants lost another heartbreaker.

The Ants squandered an eight-point fourth-quarter lead and lost 114-110 in overtime to the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Saturday at the Sanford Pentagon.

McKinney-Jones was a perfect 11-of-11 from the free-throw line as part of his 30-point night, to lead the Mad Ants (1-4). Ron Howard added 16 points and Sadiel Rojas scored 12 points with 12 rebounds. Newly signed Bennie Lewis, who grew up in Fort Wayne, scored nine points with three assists in his Mad Ants debut.

Sioux Falls (4-2) was led by Justin Hamilton with 31 points and 13 rebounds and John Allen with 26 points.

Fort Wayne will return home to play Iowa on Thursday and Idaho next Saturday.
