The History Center has announced the following entries won People's Choice Award in its Festival of Gingerbread:
•Karen Peters, Adult individual: Snoopy's Dog House
•St. Vincent de Paul Heritage Girls Explorers, Student group: Gingerbread Village
•Roehm Family, Adult group: Coney Island on Lighting Night
People attending the festival voted for their favorite gingerbread creations during the first two weeks of the Festival, which continues through Sunday.
Entries winning other special awards were:
•Creative Confections Cake Club, Title Sponsor Award: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge
•Jaime Izak, Presenting Sponsor Award: Gingerbread Log Cabin
•Corbrey Family, Media Sponsor Award: Three Little Pigs House
•Brooke Waikel, Allen County Historian Award: Little River Bakery
•Anthis Career Center, Michelle and Ashley, Board President Award: Arcade
•Estabrook Family, Executive Director Award: Chief Richardville House
•Krach Teen Group, Festival Chair Award: Downton Abbey
History Center hours during the festival are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.
Special activities this weekend include:
•Science of Sugary Structures by Science Central, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, $3 per person plus museum admission.
•Cookie Decorating Party, 1-4 p.m. Sunday, $1 per person plus museum admission
