President Obama and the federal government couldn't take our handguns, so they removed the handgun ammunition from retailers across the nation.Homeland Security is the main culprit, having acquired an unnecessary quantity of ammunition over the past year and recently placed another larger order for 1.6 billion rounds over the next five years. The job of Homeland Security, which is made up of 90 agencies and 70,000 agents, isn't national defense but rather to look inward at us.

Have we been so notoriously evil that Obama needs the above agencies to maintain control over we the people? I'm hoping the NRA, which I'm a member of, will begin to apply pressure on Congress and force the release of the ammunition.

It's hard to believe that Congressman Stutzman, Sen. Coats and Sen. Donnelly don't realize that there is a shortage and at least attempt to rectify this problem. We who enjoy the sport of handgun shooting, and at the same time want to defend ourselves and our loved ones, are asking that the ammunition be returned to the retailers at the original cost.
