Letter to the editor: Why not just build around Cindy's Diner?

Friday, December 13, 2013 - 12:01 am

I am a frequent visitor of Cindy’s Diner, and I understand that there is a possibility of it being moved. I am wondering if they can just build around it. It is such a novelty place, and many persons come especially for their “best breakfast garbage.” They have Murphy’s old donut machine, and they make old-fashioned ice cream shakes, homemade soups, homemade pies, Mickey Mouse pancakes and many different sandwiches.

There is lots of laughing, comedy, such as: “We can serve the world (15) at a time,” “Where the elite meet to eat,” “No whining” and “We give friendly, good service at reasonable prices; if we fail to do so, please do not tell anyone.”

They have many varieties of cups for coffee. With Elvis Presley Blvd. above the door, I feel it would be a wise decision to just build around it.
