City of Fort Wayne asks residents to move cars for snow plows

Sunday, December 15, 2013 - 4:27 pm

Fort Wayne Street Department crews worked through the night clearing arterial and collector streets and moved on to residential/neighborhood streets Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service reported as of 9 a.m. Sunday these official snowfalls: Kendallville, 8 inches; Columbia City, 7.9 inches; Angola, 7 inches; Leo-Cedarville, 6 inches; Fort Wayne, 5.7 inches.

If snow doesn’t start falling again, crews could complete plowing residential streets by Monday night.

Residents are asked to park vehicles off the street if possible so plows can make a cleaner pass.
