A 51-year-old man charged in a fatal crash from 2013 was arrested Wednesday in South Carolina and will be extradited to Indiana.
Scott A. Saunders was recently charged in Allen Superior Court with two counts of reckless homicide, two counts of involuntary manslaughter and six counts of criminal recklessness -- among other charges -- all of which stemmed from a Jan. 8, 2013 crash near New Haven that killed two people.
Suzanne K. Stephenson, 65, of Monroeville and 43-year-old Sandra Dealey of Convoy, Ohio, both died in the fiery, six-vehicle crash, which took place near the intersection of U.S. 30 and Doyle Road, east of Interstate 469. Seven other people were injured in the crash.
Saunders was arrested in Greenville, S.C., according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals service. He will await extradition to Indiana; Saunders was previously listed as being from Kenosha, Wis.
