WANE-TV has lost its credibility. With its story on the millionaire losing his home, which was more public humiliation than anything, it seems the station has decided to sink to even lower levels of journalism. It seems to have all started about a year ago when (a) reporter chased down and harassed Sheriff Ken Fries during the Paul Moss incident. I admired Fries for his professionalism in the midst of (the reporter’s) constant badgering, as if she was trying to get him to retaliate somehow.

Regardless of whether the sheriff had done anything wrong, this type of journalism is tacky and repulsive. And due to (that) approach, I would have sided with Fries regardless of the outcome.

Ever since, they have become more brazen and rude in their journalistic approach. And the most recent story shows that WANE and (the reporter) wish to continue their unprofessionalism by humiliating an individual.

WPTA is far more professional and doesn’t seem to have the “holier than thou” complex that WANE has
