Getting to work Saturday morning was treacherous but made less so by some caring individuals from our community who would never seek out recognition for their good deeds.I don’t know their names or where they even live, but I wanted to say thank you to the three Amish men and one boy about 7 years old who braved the cold and snow that morning to use a front loader to plow out the approximately 4-foot-by-quarter-mile drift on Dody Road just south of Ricker Road.

I was already late for work and turning around to find a different route would have just made me more late, but thanks to these caring individuals.

I made it to work as a nurse in the community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart — and please know that I plan to pay it forward!
