I would like to respond to Beverly Elkins article, which appeared in The News-Sentinel on Jan. 28 in Kevin Leininger’s column.
First of all, I would like to offer my condolences to the family on the death of William JR Norfleet III.
From the article in the paper, William sounded like an outstanding young man who came to accept his demise despite everything he was suffering. He offered so much to others in his short lifetime.
As a retired sergeant with the Fort Wayne Police Department, I have seen so much negative in the mindset of this current generation and the lack of love and concern for others that it was so inspirational that William accepted his medical condition and still was inspired to write books and poems to help others.
William’s entire family has to be totally honored to have shared his life and dreams and look forward to seeing him in Heaven.
