I've been a member of (a local) credit union for more than 30 years. They totally botched up after the Target breach of security, canceling all credit/debit accounts of anyone who shopped there. (I was) promised a new card in seven to 10 days. It has been three weeks, and still no card.
How do business owners who place their family members in high-ranking positions justify this flagrant nepotism? Why doesn't America have anti-nepotism laws?
Achievement within the corrupt confines of modern American capitalism isn't achievement.
It's about time we get rid of traditional marriage. We also should dump the other (wedding) traditions, like churches, attendants, fancy dresses, rehearsal dinners, receptions, cakes and vows. These traditions are from a time now past. We should do whatever pleases us at each of our likely multiple weddings.
Midwest football fans: Don't be fooled by Pete Carroll. The man is a cheater. Don't believe me? Ask any USC fan. They will tell you the same thing. Ask Reggie Bush where he displays his Heisman trophy. He doesn't, because he gave it back because of cheating sanctioned by Carroll at USC.
Bill O'Reilly is a grade “A” (jerk). He thinks that he is more important than the president. I understand that a right-wing station like Fox has the Super Bowl, but couldn't they leave their unsubstantiated opinions for another day. Glad that most football fans took a bathroom break during O'Reilly's inquisition.
I am fine with people being who they want to be. It is the disrespectful, immodest, outrageous, flamboyant stuff that comes with gay rights. Can't stop with people being normal in their gay selves, (you) have to accept over-the-top, no-morals people also. Just like way back when, pot was just a beginning to harder stuff (drugs). Wow, please get back to normal, and, if people don't like it, move to another state and leave the Midwest be.
(Schools,) stop taking so many vacations during the school year, and you won't have to make up bad weather dates! Teachers would have longer summers, too, as well as the students.
Fort Wayne politicians have known for years the need for environmental sewer upgrades to meet government requirements ($240 million), yet they prefer to add more taxes for that, rather than use the Legacy funds to upgrade the (City) Utilities. That money (Legacy fund) they want to squander on new projects, instead of easing our tax burden.
I find it comical that schools are canceled because of the cold weather and snow, yet you see them (students) in Walmart and other places. I can understand very young children shouldn't to be out in very cold weather, but, again, you see them out and about, too!
A couple of days before the Super Bowl, (News-Sentinel) sportswriter Reggie Hayes cautioned readers to curb their enthusiasm while rooting for Denver Broncos players other than Peyton Manning. I think most of us were probably able to comply. What a disappointment.
