I took my mother to eat a meal with me at Logan's Roadhouse in Jefferson Pointe. When I was ready to pay for our dinner, the waitress told me the gentleman behind us had paid for our meal. What a surprise and such a nice thing to do. We shared a little conversation but otherwise had never met before. Mother said she wished she had known so she could have thanked you properly. Thank you very much. You are a special person.
I live in Woodburn. I want to thank the electric company for their long hours of hard work and freezing and risking their lives to come out to help others! It was a long weekend (recently) for everyone! As of (that) Sunday afternoon, we got our power back on. Thank you! I saw the nine vehicles on Woodburn Road working all hours to restore our power! Good job, guys!
A tip of the hat to Barnes & Noble for choosing Kate's Kart as their Christmas book-drive recipient and to the customers who donated more than 3,400 books. These books will go to children in 16 area hospitals. Thanks so much for your generosity!
Many, many thanks to the person who found my cellphone in the snow at the Glenbrook Square parking lot. I was able to pick it up at New Haven Verizon and found it in good working condition. Now if someone could find two pairs of gloves and cane I lost, this 91-year-old great-grandpa will be at peace with the world. God bless.
To the kind lady who helped me get over an icy parking lot on Feb.1.
A big thank you to D & B Sales for going above and beyond by sending employee Justin to our home when I had a problem with my car on a subzero winter day. It is appreciated. May good things come your way!
