Allen County Republican Chairman Steve Shine has nominated his law partner, Tom Hardin, to serve as the GOP member of the Allen County Election Board. He will succeed Zachary Klutz, who resigned to serve as Gov. Mike Pence's appointee to the Indiana Election Commission.

A Fort Wayne native and graduate of Elmhurst High School and Indiana University School of Law, Hardin has served as an assistant Allen County attorney since 1997. He is also a member of the Indiana Probate Code Study Commission and Allen County Ethics Commission.
