It's time that we do away with a government of the 1 percent, by the 1 percent and for the 1 percent and replace it with a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
I know there is a lot of snow, but when you make a high “iceberg” of snow on the corners, you cannot see around it when you need to get into the street! Please level it or spread it in more areas.
Roundabouts on Union Chapel at Auburn roads sure are great. The road is all breaking up and is a mess. Also, the center strip is a mess when coming out our drive. When snow-covered, it looks like snow had a car stuck on top already.
Fort Wayne wouldn't have a problem making up school days if they didn't schedule so many days off in the regular school year. They have created their own problem with too many and too long of breaks.
So the residents of Maxine Drive have had a broken water main for three weeks, creating havoc for residents with it freezing and creating a very dangerous situation! The mayor touts taking over another (private) utility, but the one we have can't take care of their own customers!
I wish some of these cocky young kids would have to bowl and golf using the equipment that we had 40 years ago. … Then let's see how good you were. Just because we are old doesn't mean we weren't good in our day.
Yes, little Jimmy, when you grow up and get the liberal media behind you, you can be a king.
I would never go into the local truck assembly plant and tell them how to build trucks. Why would nonmedical people go the ER and tell them how to practice medicine? This is a generation of people who feel entitled. Disgustingly wrong!
Police should not carry an antidote for heroin OD. Publicize the OD deaths, and more lives will be saved when the heroin users see what a terrible risk they are taking and that no one is going to save them.
What is wrong with the north post office? Three times this week I have mail that is in a different ZIP code. I live off of Dupont Road. I have mail from Essex Lane, Wallen Lane and Till Road. If this is happening to me it is happening to you.
If either Purdue or IU makes the NCAA Tournament without winning the Big Ten championship, then the committee will validate what I have always suspected. It doesn't matter who you play, it matters what league you are in. Both these teams are terrible and do not deserve a spot.
Has it dawned on anyone but me that fewer than 550 elected (by either uninformed or greedy, gimme mine voters) officials … in Washington have either caused directly, or their actions have delayed or made worse, nearly everything in this country? … God bless the USA? God help the USA!
We are growing tired of gas prices jumping up 25-35 cents for no apparent reason, only to slowly trickle back down. They used to at least offer up a lame excuse. If you watch the price of crude and gas, the gas jumps up at the filling stations' whim.
Do you suppose Congress will make up the snow days they missed? No need to answer — this is a rhetorical question.
If you want to see a troubled society coming soon, look at the list of the shocking number of babies born outside of an old-fashioned normal home.
Perhaps it is time to rethink a winter school schedule. Why not start school one hour later in December, January and February? It would be safer for students and there would not be as many delays.
You worry about your kids and grandkids. Higher taxes, lower wages and less quality of living. You better start worrying about the Earth. Global change is an ongoing thing. If we hurl ourselves toward global weather change without trying to change it, nothing else will matter.
I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with senses, reason and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.
Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control should arrest hockey club owners who stage fights at hockey games. We protect dogs from fighting, why not young men?
I have lived in many big cities in the U.S. and have traveled to too many to count. I have never encountered such poor professionalism from news broadcasters that I see here. With their sloppy grammar, poor English skills and just dumb ad-libbing, it's no wonder people think that we are a dumb city.
The push seems to make the minimum wage $10.10 per hour. That is fine if people are willing to pay more. If wages, raw material costs or administrative costs go up, the cost of the product goes up. Eventually, everyone will want a $3-per-hour wage increase.
Decent, caring and rational people vs. corporate greed is the ultimate David vs. Goliath saga.
