Up next for IPFW women: Today vs. Western Illinois

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Gates Sports Center

Records: IPFW 13-13 (6-6 Summit League), Western Illinois 14-13 (6-6 Summit League)

Expected starters for the Mastodons: Haley Seibert – 5-5 junior guard (16.5 ppg), Amanda Hyde – 5-10 senior guard/forward (21.7 ppg), Rachel Mauk – 5-10 senior guard (6.0 ppg), Mur Hagerman – 5-10 junior guard (4.8 ppg), Rebecca Bruner – 6-0 junior forward (4.5 ppg).

IPFW update: The Mastodons try to make it two consecutive wins this evening against a team tied with them in the conference right around the middle of the pack. IPFW lost to the Leathernecks by three on the road earlier this month, one of four losses Coach Chris Paul's team has suffered by five points or less this year. Overall, IPFW is 8-3 at Gates Sports Center this season, including 4-1 in Summit League matchups. With two regular season games left, IPFW is still competing for seeding in the postseason tournament. At this point, IPFW is a No. 5 seed but has an opportunity to grab the No. 3 seed with two victories and some help. Amanda Hyde has led the Mastodons in scoring in just two of the last nine games, with the team 4-5 over that stretch. IPFW has not won two straight games since Jan. 16-18 when it beat Denver and South Dakota.
