There was some discussion among board members about possibly posting to the district's website the various applications that the district uses for teaching, with the number of application used being around 100.
The purchases were approved unanimously, with Jordan Lebamoff not present.Also on Monday, the board ratified a two-year contract agreement between the district and the union that represents the district's secretaries, media clerks, groundskeepers, nutrition service employees, interpreters and assistants.
There are about 2,000 or so employees impacted by the agreement, which has some of these tenets, according to information provided by the district:
Secretaries, media clerks, school assistants, bus assistants, special-education assistants, clerks and nutrition services employees will receive a 2 percent base wage increase, plus $1 per hour increase, for the first year, and a 2 percent base wage increase for 2014-15.
Groundskeepers and hearing/visual impaired interpreters will receive a 2 percent increase in the first year and the second year of the agreement.
The employer match for 401(k) retirement plans was eliminated from the contract, as well.
