Fort Wayne Police were dispatched to Forest Park Elementary School shortly after 9:30 a.m. Monday on a report of an altercation between a student and the mother of another student.School officials told police that the problem developed after four kids at the school were reprimanded for acting up and trash-talking. Monday, the next school day, the mother of one of the four kids confronted another of the reprimanded students as they were arriving at school, school officials said.

Police were told that the mother allegedly screamed at the child, telling him, “I will show you want happens to bullies. You better watch yourself at Lakeside Park because I will take you out.” A school employee also told police that the mother allegedly mocked the child because of the shoes he wore, asking him if he was poor because he wore those shoes.

The child tried to walk away from the scolding mother, police said they were told. But the mother allegedly grabbed the child's sleeve and told him not to walk away from her. He was freed and the mother left after a school employee approached them.
