Fort Wayne Museum of Art will celebrate its 30th anniversary in current location

The Fort Wayne Museum of Art plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the dedication of its current building at 311 E. Main St.The museum, which traces its roots back to painting classes offered in 1888, dedicated its building on April 15, 1984, a news release said. It previously had occupied historic homes.

Anniversary celebration activities include a giveaway people can enter while visiting the museum from April 1-20. You must be age 18 or older to enter.

First prize includes a framed, 22-inch-by-26-inch print of Cindy's Diner by Fort Wayne artist Diane Groenert; a Buddha Board; the hardback coffee table book, "The Artists of Brown County; a handmade ceramic Fort Wayne Museum of Art magnet by artist Ralph Stuckman; and a one-year family membership to the museum.

Second prize includes a Buddha Board and museum family membership, the news release said. Third prize is a family membership.
