It will be a summer to rock with Foreigner, Styx and REO Speedwagon headlining the concert season at Foellinger Outdoor Theatre.

The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department also will mix things up a bit with the soulful sound of Mavis Staples and the Tex-Mex sound of Los Lobos.

Concert tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Friday at www.foellingertheatre.org and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays at 427-6000 or in the Fort Wayne Parks office, 705 E. State Blvd. Tickets also are available 6-10 p.m. on concert days at the Foellinger Theatre box office in person or at 427-6715.

The theater also will show several current family-friendly movies, such as “Frozen,” “The Lego Movie” and “Monsters University” along with classics “Mary Poppins” and a 75th anniversary showing of “The Wizard of Oz.”

May 18, 4 p.m.: Fort Wayne Philharmonic Youth Symphony and Concert Orchestra, free.

May 24, 8 p.m.: Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles, a popular Eagles tribute band, $15 per person.

June 6, 8 p.m.: The Guess Who, $25, $30, $35 and $40.

June 10, 7:30 p.m.: Fort Wayne Area Community Band and area high school band members, free.

June 21, 8 p.m.: The Hit Men, featuring former members of bands such as Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Tommy James and the Shondells, The Critters and more, $15, $20, $25 and $30.

June 24, 8 p.m.: REO Speedwagon, $39, $49, $59, $69 and VIP $99.

June 28, 8 p.m.: BritBeat, a The Beatles tribute band, $15.

July 8, 7:30 p.m.: Fort Wayne Area Community Band, free.

July 12, 8 p.m.: Foreigner, $35, $45, $55 and $60.

July 26, 8 p.m.: Fort Wayne Jazz Orchestra plays a “Tribute to Big Bands” concert, free.

Aug. 2, 8 p.m.: The Grass Roots and The Buckinghams, $20, $25, $35 and $40.

Aug. 8, 7:30 p.m.: Fort Wayne Children's Choir performs music from movies, free.

Aug. 9, 8 p.m.: On A Night Like This, a band featuring former studio musicians from Fort Wayne, $5.

Aug. 12, 7:30 p.m.: Fort Wayne Area Community Band, free.

Aug. 16, 8 p.m.: Styx, $39, $49, $59, $69 and VIP $99.

Aug. 22, 8 p.m.: Junk Yard Band, $5.

Aug. 23, 8 p.m.: Mavis Staples, whose career has ranged from gospel and soul music to a collaboration with Jeff Tweedy of the band Wilco, $20, $25, $30 and $35.

Aug. 24, 4 p.m.: Heartland Chamber Chorale presents a big band jazz patriotic pops concert, $5.

Sept. 27, 8 p.m.: Los Lobos, $23 and $30.
