Letter to the editor: Letter writer didn't prove that God exists

In his letter, “Proving God exists,” Richard W. Burridge didn’t prove that god exists. He used the term “faith” twice, but faith is not sufficient evidence to prove that a god exists.

Faith is a belief without evidence. Dr. Peter Boghossian writes that “if a person had sufficient evidence to warrant a belief in a particular claim, then they wouldn’t believe the claim on the basis of faith. Faith is a word one uses when they don’t have enough evidence to justify holding a belief, but when they just go ahead and believe anyway.”

Burridge demonstrated no empirical evidence of a Christian god.
