I was thrilled and honored to take a vacation to Buffalo, N.Y., on March 28. It was a vacation that was unforgettable. Meeting my newly born nephews and nieces plus all other nephews and nieces is definitely one of the high moments of 2014.

I couldn’t help but smile more and more after my sister, nephews and nieces showed me how much they care, love me and how special I am to them. I felt as if I was a celebrity like Rihanna since all my nephews and nieces followed me everywhere I went. Even when I slept, some would watch me until I woke up.

Yes, seeing my nephews and nieces sing for my beautiful daughter’s birthday made me cry for joy. What a joy to see my daughter, who is too young to talk, mumble some words just to “sing along” with everybody even thought her words were unclear. I do believe family is a special gift, and I must extend my thanks from the bottom of my heart to all family and friends as well. As I waved my nephews and nieces goodbye, I couldn’t help but cry. Family is a gift. I love my family. They’re very special to me.
