So, Dr. Crawford wants to do away with all collective bargaining for city employees. There is no binding arbitration. So if he doesn’t like a contract that comes before council, they could simply vote it down. Why get so many families upset? Why no discussion before introduction of the bills?Maybe it is grandstanding for the state Republican Party, which will hold a convention here in early June. Hard to say. Maybe he should get his ducks in a row first. He was all for the PSA, which we can’t sell and now have to give it away at the cost of $29 million-plus to taxpayers, then the ballpark he supported, taxpayers pay for the stadium, keeping the grounds, all the utilities, which even means we pay for cooking the hot dogs and share in no profits for anything .

But for $100,000 a year, which must go back into the park for improvements.

Then we are still paying for 60 percent of the costs of the Grand Wayne Center, guarantee a profit for the hotel and the condo building at the ballpark. Most recently an extra $20 million oversight for the new Ash building downtown. And I think Dr. Crawford was OK with all of that.

And how about going after all the overinflated wages of the mayor and all his appointees. Henry makes more than the governor of Indiana and mayor of Indianapolis. I think this will probably come back to haunt Crawford. We will see.
