As co-chair of the Franklin Park Group, I have the privilege of working with neighborhood leaders from North Highlands, Wells Corridor, Bloomingdale, Hamilton and Lincoln Park. We are keen to have our neighborhoods both contribute to the revitalization of the downtown as well as benefit from it.

We also want to see Legacy funds used for neighborhood revitalization projects, not only in our own northwest quadrant but neighborhoods across the city. The Franklin Park Group thinks that if money from the Legacy funds could be used for helping build an award-winning park on the Franklin School property, this could spur the imagination and leadership of other neighborhood leaders across the city. I know it is, from conversations with Andrew Hoffman of Williams-Woodland neighborhood, Leann White of central city and Javier Mondragon of the southeast. Please consider working with the Franklin Park Group investing in neighborhood vitality.

Tim Hallman, co-chair, Franklin Park Group
