World War II journey documentary showing at Fort Wayne Cinema Center

In the new documentary "Following the Golden Arrow," a film crew retraces the U.S. 8th Infantry Division's route through Europe during World War II. The film made its world premiere at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Fort Wayne Cinema Center, 437 E. Berry St. It also will be shown at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Shot in August 2013, the trek and 65-minute film were inspired by Director and Producer Benjamin Atkinson's grandfather, Capt. Lewis L. Atkinson, who served in the 8th Infantry's 56th Field Artillery Battalion.

Cinema Center admission is $8, general admission; $6.50, seniors and students; $5, Cinema Center members; and $4, senior and student Cinema Center members.
