It amazes me to see so many people smile at the Three Rivers Festival every year. It is a priceless, wonderful gift. I meet new friends, reunite with old ones and listen to their encouraging stories and smile at them, too.
The kickoff parade, the foods, rides and music are just remarkable. It’s such a sweet memory to see friends immediately hug you and cry for joy while at the same time bringing up specific events like speech competitions, football (soccer) leagues and much more.
However, seeing us (young people) bounce each other during the festival is cruelty that could cause someone to faint or even die. I urge young people to stand up and celebrate peace — practicing our Jackie Chan fighting style isn’t a wonderful way of celebrating.
