This is to protest the recent spraying of plants along city roadsides and easement areas. I assume it is the power company since it seems to always be under the power lines. The plants hang black and dead and ugly but more important, these areas are almost always beside a ditch where the vegetation killer rinses directly into our streams and rivers.
Isn’t this the 21st century? Does anyone think this is OK!?
Some of this spray got on a mature elm in a wooded ravine easement behind us, and now, it too, has black and dying leaves. This tree was allowed to remain in.
In 2011 a big easement clear-out was carried out responsibly and with good communication with affected homeowners.
