TV Diary: TCM’s ‘Summer Under the Stars’ month includes first-timers Dunaway, Grable and Muni

TCM’s 12th annual “Summer Under the Stars” begins Friday with a star salute every day in August.Newcomers include Faye Dunaway, Betty Grable, Paul Muni and William Powell and “Summer Under the Stars” features 20 premieres of films never-before-shown on the network. Viewers will enjoy the actors’ stellar performances in movies that haven’t been accessible recently or have had a change in critical evaluation since their original release.
