Teen dies after rescue from Indiana city pool

FRANKFORT, Ind. — Authorities say a 15-year-old boy pulled from a central Indiana city pool has died.Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes says Adrian Alanis died an Indianapolis hospital on Tuesday, the day after he was rescued from the deep end of the public pool at TPA Park.

McBarnes tells the Journal & Courier and WLFI-TV that city police were investigating the circumstances of the teenager's death in the city about 25 miles southeast of Lafayette.

Police Chief Troy Bacon says Adrian was spotted at the bottom of the pool Monday afternoon. Bacon says pool workers performed CPR on the teen until medics arrived and took him to a hospital.
