We learn to forgive. God forgave our sins, and he gives all of us a chance to repent. If he can do that, why can’t we forgive our brothers and sisters as I know that God would want us to?
Who are we to judge? God did not give us his powers. He gave us his holy words and promises that are in the Bible. Did you ever hear the words, “Treat others as you yourself would want to be treated?”
We as a society have to quit being prejudiced. We have to quit being judgmental. We should not have to put labels on people. God says we all are sinners, period.
As far as the judges and prosecutors having a couple of concerns. Why? If the individuals are given a second chance of leading a good life, why does that hurt the judges and prosecutors? It is said that once a prisoner gets released the system tries to catch them making a mistake so they can put them back in prison. It is all about the system making money.
Why does our society have to have negative thoughts all the time and look for other people’s mistakes and then judge them according to what we think should be right? People, guess what? We all make mistakes. Thought, word and deed.
So to the men and women who are released from jail or prison, I pray that God helps you on your journey to better your life and I pray that all of you are given second chances. And I pray that you succeed in your careers and are closer to your family and church.
Judges and prosecutors, Indiana is a state where we do not need to have people going to jails and prisons. Please give all of them second chances. Let them move on from their mistakes. This state of Indiana needs God back into their lives. In the end we all will be judged by the one and only true judge.
My son will soon be coming home and our family, friends, community and our church will be welcoming him home. He is looking forward to getting a job, and returning to his church and I know that all of the love and support of all of his friends, family and community have shown him and still do has helped all of us.
Thank you all for supporting my son and us. God has been with us all the way.
And I sincerely want to thank all who have shown concern and have been kind to us.
May God bless all of you and your families.
