Team Fabini blitzes hunger at traditional Thanksgiving meal
Miss Virginia's Mission House hosted the meal.
From staff reports

Retired NFL player Jason Fabini wanted to help feed the hungry in his hometown of Fort Wayne. So he teamed up with Ohio-based Cooper Farms, which agreed to donate 225 pre-cooked boneless turkey breasts and ship them free to Community Harvest Food Bank.

On Wednesday, Fabini helped give out the birds to people at Miss Virginia's Mission House, with the help of students from St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School, who supplied the side dishes for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Miss Virginia's, 1312 Hanna St., is a food bank member agency.

“It was a team effort. Both Cooper Farms and St. Charles helped make this happen,” said Fabini, a Bishop Dwenger High School graduate, in a news release. “It feels great to be able to give back to the community.”

According to manager Tom Osborn, Miss Virginia's distributes food to nearly 700 people each Tuesday and Wednesday.
