Bishop Dwenger finished 10th in the IHSAA boys golf state finals Wednesday at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin. The Saints had a 36-hole total of 639.
Evansville Harrison won the tournament with a 611. Indianapolis Brebeuf finished second with a 614.
Sophomore Spencer Gillig led Dwenger with a 156. He was low man for the Saints during Round 1 on Tuesday with a 4-over-par 76 and then shot 80 on Wednesday.
Sophomore Drake Eifert was low man for Dwenger on Wednesday with a 79 giving him a 159 for the two-round tournament.
After shooting a 77 on Tuesday, freshman John Hope shot an 84 Wednesday for a 161 total. Senior Carter Eifert shot an 80-84 for a 164 score, and sophomore Jake Leonard had a 166 after shooting 83 on both days.
Medalist for the tournament was Sean Stone of Evansville Harrison with a 140. Stone shot below par both rounds. He had a 1-under 71 on Tuesday and followed that up with a 3-under 69 on Wednesday.
Chase Ellsworth of Bellmont, who went as an individual, finished tied for 22nd with a 155. Ellsworth had a 75 on Tuesday and an 80 on Wednesday.
Sophomore Michael Sharp of East Noble was tied for 28th with a 157 after shooting 70-87.
