NeighborLink Fort Wayne available to help with cleanup

Thursday, July 5, 2012 - 6:31 am

NeighborLink Fort Wayne is available to help those who physically can't get their storm debris cleaned up and hauled to the curb for city pickup.

As a result of Friday's storm with high winds, several hundred trees and thousands of limbs are strewn across the city. The city of Fort Wayne will collect debris only from the curb.

NeighborLink is a grass-roots volunteer organization that operates an online bulletin board for residents who are looking for ways to help neighbors in need.

Anyone who needs help can register online at www.NLFW.org or call 710-7611. The agency will add the project to the list and make it available to volunteers. The service can't guarantee all projects will get assistance.
