A fire Friday afternoon caused moderate damage to a bedroom. A resident escaped unharmed before firefighters arrived.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 3:52 p.m. at 1345 Park Ave., according to a news release. Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the home's second floor. The fire was brought under control in 13 minutes and its cause is being investigated.
