Fort Wayne tradition continues with Christmas on Broadway tree lighting

Friday night marked one of the city's annual traditions: Christmas on Broadway, featuring the lighting of the huge Christmas tree on Broadway Plaza. The children of U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-3rd, pushed the button to light the tree in front of hundreds of spectators, including Mayor Tom Henry and attorneys Steve Shine and Tom Hardin. The tree is in front of Shine and Hardin's law offices at 2810 Beaver Ave., just off Broadway, and Shine, as he has in years past, emceed the event.
