The Fort Wayne Sport Club will host a fan forum at the Fort Wayne Sport Club starting at 7:45 p.m. on Monday.
The event is an opportunity to provide information about a newly formed Indianapolis pro soccer team including their vision and plans for the future.
Indianapolis was recently awarded a pro team in the North American Soccer League (NASL), which operates as a second division below the nation's top league, Major League Soccer (MLS). The team will start NASL play in 2014 in Carroll Stadium on the campus of IUPUI.
The organization's goal is to gain entry into MLS in the future. Current MLS teams in Vancouver, Montreal and Seattle all had success in second division play before being invited to join MLS and all three franchises have been highly successful
in terms of attendance and results.
Peter Wilt, who is the President of the new Indianapolis team, will be leading the discussion. He is the former President of the MLS Chicago Fire during their founding as well as their MLS Cup winning season in 1998. He will also be answering questions from the audience.
