KOKOMO — Police in the north-central city of Kokomo are investigating a weekend shooting in which six gunshots were fired near the Howard County Courthouse.
Police reported that officers stopped two vehicles in downtown Kokomo about 3 a.m. Sunday after it appeared the occupants had been shooting at each other.
No injuries were reported.
The Kokomo Tribune reports detectives said the occupants of the two cars said they were being shot at by people in a third vehicle that fled the scene.
Police found no guns near the vehicles, one of which had a bullet hole near the rear passenger side.
No arrests were made, but police say they have identified suspects in the incident.
