He'll join Dwenger, Irish teammate Eifert in training camp

Sunday, April 28, 2013 - 4:34 pm

John Goodman will join Tyler Eifert in a football locker room again.

Goodman will sign as an undrafted free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals, he posted on Twitter on Sunday. Goodman, of course, has been teammates with Eifert, the Bengals' top draft pick, at Bishop Dwenger High School and the University of Notre Dame.

Goodman, a wide receiver, posted a simple "Cincinnati Bengals!" with his first tweet, but followed up with the tidbit that he was with Eifert when the Bengals contacted him.

"Got the call on the course with (Eifert)," Goodman posted. "Bit ironic. Haha. He didn't know what to say when I mentioned I was with their 1st round pick."

Goodman is the second Fort Wayne product to land with an NFL team as an undrafted free agent. Saint Francis receiver and kicker returner Austin Coleman will be in camp with the Seattle Seahawks.
