Diego Goris' double in the bottom of the 11th inning drove in Alberth Martinez to give the Fort Wayne TinCaps a 3-2 win over the South Bend Silver Hawks on Friday at Parkview Field. The win, in front of a sellout crowd, gave the TinCaps a 6-0 record in extra-inning games this season. The scoring started in the second inning when both teams hit solo home runs. Rudy Flores hit his eighth for South Bend while Tyler Stubblefield connected on his first of the year for Fort Wayne.

The TinCaps took a 2-1 lead in the third inning. Brian Adams led off with a double and took third on a wild pitch by South Bend's Brad Allen. Martinez delivered a one-out single to score Adams.

South Bend came back in the top of the fourth to tie it as Flores scored his second run of the game on an RBI single by Alex Glenn.

Pitching took over the game from that point as neither team could score again until the TinCaps won it in the 11th.

Fort Wayne's bullpen pitched six innings of shutout ball. Matthew Shepherd and Roman Madrid pitched two innings each and Leonel Campos and Chris Nunn both threw one inning. Nunn pitched the 11th inning and was credited with the win to improve to 6-0.

Fort Wayne had a chance to win the game in the bottom of the ninth when Luis Tejada reached third base. Tejada singled, advanced to second on a groundout and to third on a wild pitch. Tyler Stubblefield struck out to end the threat and the game went into extra innings.

The inning started with a single by Martinez. He was advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Maxx Tissenbaum that set up the walkoff double by Goris.

Fort Wayne collected nine hits, with Martinez, Tissenbaum and Stubblefield each getting two. The other hits for the TinCaps were Tejada's single and doubles by Goris and Adams.

Enrique Burgos (2-1) took the loss for South Bend. Burgos only got one out in the 11th before Goris' game-winning hit.FRIDAY'S BOX SCORE
