Cause of Kosciusko teen's death still undetermined

Friday, October 4, 2013 - 12:47 pm

WARSAW — An autopsy did not reveal how a Kosciusko County teenager whose body was found last weekend died.

Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson issued this statement on the investigation into the death of Aurora Shoemaker, 18: "The autopsy conducted this week was inconclusive as to the matter of Aurora Shoemaker's death. Her remains are being sent to the University of Indianapolis for further analysis. Further information may not be available for approximately four weeks".

Shoemaker lived in a nearby mobile home park and was last seen in August 2012 after leaving her mother's home for a walk. Young people discovered the remains Sunday while playing in a wooded area near Warsaw.
