Allen County’s annual sale of tax-delinquent properties recovered a total of $789,390.28 in taxes Wednesday, which will be distributed to local governments. Treasurer Sue Orth said 320 properties were available in this year’s sale attended by 199 bidders from across the country.

A total of 667 properties went on sale, with more than $1.7 million in taxes owed. Properties that did not sell will be deeded to the county. Last year’s auction sold 436 properties, recouping about $1.11 million.
