Armed robbers hit liquor store

Three men armed with handguns robbed the Cap n’ Cork liquor store, 4520 Lima Road, shortly before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Fort Wayne Police report.

Two people who were in the store when the robbers entered were upset but unhurt when police arrived. The robbers escaped with cash from the business, cartons of Newport cigarettes, liquor and two phones.

The trio was described as wearing all black and covering their faces with pantyhose. They were armed with black handguns. Two of them were about 5 feet 10 inches tall; the third was taller than 5 feet 10 inches. One suspect wore a black jacket or coat and gray pants. A second wore a black hoodie, dark pants, white-and-black shoes, black baseball cap and carried a backpack. The third wore a green hoodie, black jacket, baseball cap with white brim and white shoes.
