Lutheran Social Services of Indiana received a $705,000 grant from the Foellinger Foundation to provide operating, limited capital improvement and replacement, and special organizational effectiveness support.Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County seeks sponsors and artists to turn rain barrels into works of art to be displayed around downtown Warsaw, as well as at the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival June 8 at Center Lake Park. Habitat on Kosciusko will sell the barrels to benefit the organization. Call 1-574-269-4104 to participate. Rain on Kosciusko raised more than $8,000 in 2012.The Society of Indiana Pioneers seeks nominations from Blackford, Brown, Clay, Daviess, DeKalb, Dubois, Fayette, Franklin, Gibson, Greene, Jackson, Kosciusko, Madison, Newton, Porter, Randolph, Vanderburgh and White counties to identify Indiana pioneer founders.Descendants, genealogists or other interested persons may submit nominations of pioneers who settled in Indiana by 1840, except for Newton County, which was settled in 1855.
