Pathways: Gospel band, fall festivals and more

AGAPE CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN, 11610 Lima Road, will have Blue Bird Revival, a high-energy gospel band, perform in concert at 6 p.m. Nov. 2. Free, but donations will be taken.ANTHONY WAYNE FIRST CHURCH OF GOD, 6012 South Bend Drive, will hold a fall festival with live music, games and activities 2-5 p.m. Oct. 19.

CONCORDIA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY, 6600 N. Clinton St., will hold a conference, An Open Conversation on Music in the Church: A Look at the Elephant in the Room, Nov. 3-5. CRESCENT AVENUE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1232 Crescent Ave., will have a Taize meditation and worship service at 5 p.m. Sunday.

PIERCETON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 309 S. First St., Pierceton, will hold its annual harvest home dinner 11 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. and 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 for children.

TRINITY ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 405 W. Wayne St., will have Chanticleer perform in concert at 7 p.m. today; $20 adults, $10 students. 426-3424. A Blessing of the Animals takes place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot; pets should be on a leash or in carriers. Photos of aggressive animals may be brought for a blessing.

Park Drive, Huntington, will host nationally known author, speaker and humorist Terry Hershey, who will present the workshop “Live Without Fear: The Truth About Intimacy, Love and Passion.” 1-4 p.m. Oct. 20. $15.
