Fort Wayne native James Hardy, a former NFL player, was being held on $25,000 bail today after being arrested in a disturbing the peace call, according to CBSLA.com.Hardy, 28, who was a standout athlete at Elmhurst High School and Indiana University, was arrested Sunday after LAPD officers responded to a call at his Westlake District home.

According to police reports, Hardy engaged in a physical confrontation and two officers suffered unspecified injuries, were treated at a hospital and released. Other media reports out of Los Angeles say Hardy was sedated and hospitalized before being transported to the LAPD jail.

Hardy spent time in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens. As a high school athlete, he was an all-state player in football and an Indiana All-Star in basketball.
