1st Source Bank offers 'Shred Day' events in Fort Wayne

1st Source Bank will hold "Shred Day" events, designed to prevent identity theft, at two of its Fort Wayne area banking centers.

The public can shred sensitive documents 9-11 a.m. April 21 at its East State Banking Center, 6506 E. State Blvd. A second shred event will take place 10 a.m.-noon May 5 at the Covington Plaza Banking Center, 6304 W. Jefferson Blvd.

The shredder service is free and available to the public.

Documents suggested for shredding include those with Social Security numbers, birthdates, personal identification numbers or passwords; banking documents and other financial information; leases, contracts or letters that include signatures; pre-approved credit card applications and medical or dental bills. Keep documents needed for tax purposes.
