Ash Brokerage announced Thursday that it is spinning off its JourneyGuide division as a separate company as it prepares to launch its retirement-income planning software.

The move is being made to focus on the software business, allowing JourneyGuide to have a greater impact on financial advisors and their clients, the company said in a news release.

“JourneyGuide started with a question: Can we prove or disprove that guaranteed income streams improve retirement outcomes? When you ask big, empowering questions, and assemble a world-class team in the pursuit of the answers, incredible things can happen,” Tim Ash, CEO of Ash Brokerage, said in the news release.

“Designed to be an interactive retirement planning experience for advisors and clients, JourneyGuide improves advisor efficiency and increases client understanding and ownership of their retirement plan,” according to the news release.

JourneyGuide’s retirement-income planning software will be released in the third quarter. In the meantime, more information on the software is available at https://www.journeyguideplanning.com.
