Fort Wayne Children’s Choir sets annual Harvest Concert for Nov. 5

The Fort Wayne Children’s Choir has scheduled its Harvest Concert for 4 p.m. Nov. 5 in Auer Performance Hall in the Rhinehart Music Center at IPFW.

The event, the first of the season, will showcase all eight choir ensembles.

“This opening concert revolves around different palates of color. Musical selections often utilize text painting to portray with music compositional techniques a visualization for the listener. The ensembles also will demonstrate various aspects of tone color, using different ways of producing sound to achieve a variety of styles,” Jonathan Busarow, executive artistic director, said in a release. “Similarly, students in the choir come from a variety of places and backgrounds. Each week, these young singers demonstrate the ability for music to overcome all differences as they work toward a common goal.”

The choir features more than 300 students.

Tickets are available through the IPFW ticket office in Gates Athletic Center, 481-6555.
