Three Rivers Festival’s Junk Food Alley will appear this week on an episode of the Cooking Channel’s “Carnival Eats.”

The episode is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. Thursday, according to TRF Executive Director Jack Hammer.

During last summer’s festival in early July, show host Noah Cappe and his crew sampled some of Junk Food Alley. The show features food from carnivals, fairs, and festivals around the country.

“The variety of tempting treats available in Junk Food Alley is astounding,” Hammer said in a news release. “We are excited to bring national attention to our community in such a fun and uplifting way.”

Cappe didn’t settle for just a lemon shake-up. He visited the Best Around Funnel Cake booth to taste their unique Cheesy Fried Enchilada Funnel Cake, Timmy’s BBQ’s Piggyback Mac, and the Everything Elephant Ear from Richardson’s Funnel Cakes.

The The Season 5 third episode, titled, “Children of the Corn on the Cob,” also features the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, Calif., where Cappe tastes the Drunken Pickle Pops and the Pineapple Unicorn Bomb.
