Fort Wayne jazz, R&B artists Tasha DeNae, Ty Causey to perform for Black History music event
Two of Fort Wayne’s well-known jazz and R&B singers — Tasha DeNae and Ty Causey — will perform together during “A Dynamite Experience: A Musical Tribute to Black History” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in the Classic Ballroom in Walb Student Union at IPFW, 2101 Coliseum Blvd. E.
DeNae and Causey will perform past and current R&B and jazz music as well as some of their own songs, an event news release said.
Tickets are $20 per person and are available at the following locations:

DeNae has been performing as a backup vocalist for “American Idol” Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino, a biography said. She also has worked with Tyler Perry, Trey Songz, TI, Lil Wayne and The Temptations, as well as performed in Nigeria, Morocco, Dubai and Uruguay.
She currently is working on her third studio album.
Causey, who performs frequently around Fort Wayne and the region, worked with smooth-jazz saxophonist Najee in the late 1990s.
Causey since has released about a dozen albums of his own and has performed as opening act for jazz artists such as Boney James, Babyface and Peter White.
